Welcome to Westerham Hill Baptist Church
We are a small and friendly evangelical Baptist Church striving to be bible centred in all we do.
Our aim is to make our Lord Jesus known and to know Him better ourselves.
We welcome all to come and share our services and to hear God speaking to us through
We are members of the South East Gospel Partnership and the Baptist Union.
Our motto for 2017 is "The Lord reigns, let the nations tremble..." from Psalm 99 in the NIV
Please join us!
You will find our church will welcome you warmly. Our Sunday morning service starts at 11am.
If you cannot make the morning service we have an evening service which is just as inspiring and takes place at 6.30pm. Both services last for approximately an hour. All are welcome!
We also have a time of fellowship after every service where we enjoy tea and cake and a chat.
It would be so great if you could join us for our 130th Church Anniversary which coincides nicely with our Harvest Festival on Sunday October 1st 2017. We also celebrate on Tuesday 3rd October 2017 at 7.30pm where our guest speaker is George Hider. There are always scrumptious refreshments after the Tuesday Harvest service and the church is always decorated abundantly and lovingly with the gifts that Harvest supplies us with. Do try to pop along and see the display. Its well worth it.
Other notable dates for next year are Tuesday 5th June 2018 when the SASRA AGM takes place at 8.00pm at St Nicholas in Sevenoaks and General Lord Donnatt GCB, CBE, MC, DL, President of SASRA and former Chief of the General Staff will be the guest speaker. There will be refreshments at 7.15pm prior to the meeting beginning at 8.00pm.
Graham Chewter from The Trinitarian Bible Society is visiting us at the chapel on the evening of Tuesday 5th June 2018 at 7.45pm for an update on the work of the society. Do come along and say hello. We'd love to meet you and there's always tea and cake and a chat on offer.
Who we are
We are a welcoming congregation with members drawn from all sorts of backgrounds and ways of life.
If you would like further information on the life and work of the church in Westerham Hill please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via our contact page.
We meet in Westerham Hill but we live in surrounding villages.
What unites us is our relationship with Jesus Christ. We have discovered that He is real – not just a real historical figure in the past but a living, personal God and He is the answer to our deepest needs and the fulfilment of our strongest longings.
Our aim is to share the Good News that all who call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved and be equipped for service
Our purpose as a church
We come together on Sundays to worship God, to enjoy friendship with one another and to be inspired and challenged by preaching which releases the energy of the text of the Bible so it can transform our lives.
We want to give a warm welcome to everyone, especially to those who are new to either Christianity or the Westerham and Biggin Hill area. Why not come and visit us one Sunday?
